Great Afternoon of Bowls

The Mansefield Members Fun bowls competition was another success, the weather which was changeable didn’t rain on our competition, but the hotdogs and burgers from the barbeque did go down a storm!

The event organiser mentioned that two local councillors entered the competition but failed to get past the first round. (no fix there then)

The event was eventually won by the event organiser(?). Despite the boos and catcalls, he mercilessly defeated his opponent in the final, a local schoolgirl that had beaten my wife in the semi’s.

Joking apart we had comments that it was an excellent opportunity for those that have never had a go, to try crown green bowls!

Hayley Hart at The Manse!

Hayley sang her Hart out (‘scuse the pun), last night in the lounge.

Not as well attended as we would have liked, so quite a few people missed out on a good nights entertainment.

Hayley Started singing aged 24  in a group called ‘Reaction’, and then in a group called “The Ruby’s” from 2011-2014.

Currently Hayley sings in a  group called “Connection Trio” as well as doing some solo work.

In the past she has done a summer season in Blackpool, north pier, in a group called “Icon” (2004).

She prefers soul music and favours Stevie Wonder and Roberta Flack.

Another Good Event at The Mansefield House

Friday last saw the club host anther class act – From Benidorm to Rugeley!

With Marty Wade, Simon Patrick and Dean Ryan on stage, singing lots of popular songs.

Most of the crowd was on the dance floor during the evening!

Some videos taken, and can be seen on our youtube channel.
